St. Jude Neighborhood Health Centers was founded in the late-1980s as the Community Outreach Department of St. Jude Medical Center, an acute care hospital located in Fullerton, California. During this time, Proposition 187 denied public services to immigrants living in California without legal status. The health centers receive HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and for its covered individuals. We offer free pregnancy tests and pre-natal care at the Fullerton, La Amistad and Ponderosa sites. We provide delivery at St. Jude Medical Center. We offer state of the art vision care at our optometry equipped facilities. Alma Bradford is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in behavioral health. She received her education from the University of California, Irvine, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social behavior. She also earned a master’s degree in social work from California State University, Long Beach. She speaks English and Spanish.
